The remaining pieces of the San Pablo Coatlán organ indicate a typical 4´ stationary instrument. Perhaps it replaced a former organ, since it was located in a magnificent church full of baroque gilded altarpieces. Part of the roof collapsed during the 1999 earthquake and was left open for decades. The organ was abandoned prior to the earthquake and only the chest and representative fragments of its construction remain.
